100,000 laptops up for grabs under PM Youth Scheme 2023-24

    According to a report by 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday, it is estimated that up to 100,000 laptops will be provided to students as part of Phase 3 of the PM’s Youth Laptop Scheme.

    Under this scheme, students enrolled in MPhil, four-year, and five-year BS programs, as well as three and a half year and one and a half year MBA programs, are eligible to apply for these laptops free of cost.

    It is important to note that students from private universities are not eligible to apply for these laptops.

    Laptop Application Process

    The application for laptops will be conducted online, and the verification of applicants will be carried out by the focal person of their respective universities. Here is a step-by-step guide to the registration process:

    Registration:

    Applicants must visit the official PMYP (Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme) website to register for the scheme.
    Accurate personal information, including the CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) number, mobile number, and email address, must be provided during registration. It is crucial to ensure that the information submitted is correct, as any incorrect or false data may result in the cancellation of the registration.

    1. Account Login:

    After completing the registration, applicants need to log in to their account using the provided credentials.

    2. Application Status:
    To check the status of their application, applicants should navigate to the “Application Status” section on the website. This section will provide them with information about the progress of their application.

    3. Eligible Universities:
    Applicants should consult the List of Eligible Universities available on the website to determine if their university is eligible for Phase VI of the scheme.

    4. SMS Notification Issues:
    If applicants encounter any problems receiving SMS notifications during the application process, they can register a complaint by sending an email to PMYLS@hec.gov.pk. The email should include detailed information about the problem and their cell phone number.
