The film will see Varun Dhawan playing the role of a Shiv bhakt.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are reuniting for a new film directed by Shashank Khaitan, who previously worked with them on Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The latest movie, produced by Dharma Productions, is tentatively titled Shiv Ki Dulhania or Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Reports suggest Varun will play the role of a Shiv devotee.
The movie will start filming in May and will be released around Republic Day (January 26) next year.
According to a source, Shashank recently shared the script with Varun and Alia, and they both loved it. This will be their third movie together after Student of the Year (2012) and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014).
Currently, Alia is busy filming Kapoor and Sons with Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. Varun is working on the action-adventure movie Dishoom alongside John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.
